In this session Hans will share his investigation on how different DWA tools have implemented the Data Vault methodology – invented by Dan Linstedt – in their generators. He will review the different artifacts like hubs, satellites and links, the loaders for these tables, and also more advanced Data Vault stuff like PIT- and Bridge tables, hierarchical links, effectivity satellites, to name a few.
Hans is an Independent Dutch BI/DWH Consultant. He is also founder and moderator of the web site www.DataWarehouseAutomation.guide, a platform to compare data warehouse automation tools.
He works in the software industry since 1996, with SQL Server since the year 2001, and since 2008 he
has a primary focus on datawarehouse- and business intelligence projects using Microsoft and DWA technology.
Hans is also a member of Claudia Imhoff’s Boulder Business Intelligence Brain Trust (www.bbbt.us).
